Is it worth repairing a dehumidifier?
In most cases yes: a gas recharge, a fan or a repaired board cost considerably less than a new unit, especially on higher-capacity models. We give you the estimate before repairing so you can compare it with the cost of a new one.
My dehumidifier isn't collecting water — what could it be?
The usual causes are low refrigerant gas, a compressor that won't start, a frozen evaporator or a humidity sensor reading wrong. Bear in mind that with low room humidity or a very cold house it's also normal to collect little water.
Do I need to bring the dehumidifier to the workshop?
Yes, dehumidifiers are repaired at our workshop, where we have the vacuum and gas-charging equipment. You can bring it in yourself, or we'll arrange collection in Santiago de Compostela and its region.
